FRS 2061 EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN (EMT Basic)
Clock hours: 150 hours
Credit Hours: 6 hours
Certifications: The successful participant will sit for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians EMT Basic Exam. Once Registered, they will receive a Kentucky EMT Certification.
Additional notes: KBEMS (The Kentucky Board Of Emergency Medical Services) regulates the certification process of the medical responders of KY. Candidates with a felony conviction will NOT be certified. Refer to 202 KAR 7:301 for details about EMT certification.
Course Description:
This basic Emergency Medical Technician Course covers all knowledge aspects of trauma care as outlined by national standards, created by federal guidelines, considered to be the responsibilities of ambulance operations.
